Harbour City 海港城 - the largest shopping mall in Tsim Sha Tsui,  with over 700 retail shops is the main focus of Christmas decorations. This Christmas, the mall is spending about HK13/RM5.25 million on its impressive season decorations with the theme "Celebrating Moments @ Harbour City".

The magnificent Grand Lisboa Hotel shaped like a giant lotus, is an iconic landmark in the heart of Macau and reputed as one of the finest casino hotel in Asia. 

Christmas displays brightly lighted up at the side entrance of the hotel.

Hong Kong: Times Square Crazy Christmas 2010 香港: 時代廣場圣诞 2010

At Times Square mall (時代廣場) Causeway bay, an internationally renowned HK artist, Michael Lau created a mix of pop culture, art and fantasy of a Christmas concept park.

The second floor Atrium is an exhibition of the "10th Anniversary Michael Lau Gardener  Festival" with cute and funny “Gardener” persona.

Macau: Water Crab Porridge 澳门: 水蟹粥

As strongly recommended and listed as one of the MUST eat in Macau is the Water Crab Porridge. (水蟹粥) We were glad that we managed to find this most famous restuarant (name cannot be revealed) for water crab porridge in Rua Do Cunha, Taipa, Macau. But it was A Great disappointment indeed! 

1) You don't get what you see.

From their picture, we see 1 big healthy happy crab in a spa with spring onions and flowery eggs. Yum..Yum..YUM..

What we get was 1 small drunken crab who 'macam' accidentally fall into this bowl of HOT porridge and got its hands  and legs broken..Dum DUMDUM..

2) And not only it didn't taste heavenly delicious as claimed, the atmosphere in the restaurant was noisy and lousy as if it is the ONLY restaurant in Macau that serves the golden crab!!

3) Hostile service - Just as when we sat down on the chairs, 1 auntie threw down 3 packets of tissues on our table. Another 1 auntie came; snatched back 2 packets (1 packet from sally's hand) and loudly shouted (in cantonese), "WHY  NEED 3 PACKETS??"  The 3 of us were speechless and dumb folded... 

Then we heard them grumbling about almost everything in the restaurant. One auntie even put on a black wok face and grumbled at 1 couple (in cantonese) "Aiya..sek cho chun mm chow.. bah zui ko kai wai..bla bla, bla.." (already finish eating still don't want to leave, occupying the seats..bla bla bla....)

**i so tempted to take the pictures of those aunty waitress but afraid that they will smash up my camera..

After we habis makan, we cepat cabut.. the bill?? MOP120= RM48 for 1 bowl.

 

Macau: Grandview Hotel 澳门: 澳門君怡酒店

Grandview Hotel was my choice of hotel in Macau after googling of "hotels in Macau." The hotel is located at downtown Taipa.

There were lots of mini buses dropping and picking guests at the arrival exit of the airport every 12-15 mins. Either you have to confirm the right mini bus to take or ask the 'hostile' drivers who may or may not response as if you're wasting his 1 million dollar 1 minute worth of time.  Mini buses can take only 16 passengers and run from 7am-10am, 4pm - 10pm only. Exact fare needed. No change available. Taking a taxi would cost about MOP37-40/RM15-16.

Since i have done my homework and only had a light luggage, we took mini bus 26 (MOP4.20/RM1.80 per pax) to Grandview Hotel - Alight at Macau Jockey club bus stop (choi ma wui in cantonese) and cross the street where the Four Faced Buddha is, walk another 3 mins to reach the hotel.

We had booked a superior non smoking room (HK750/RM305 saturday's room rate) via their website and was later upgraded to a Junior suite (HK1,190/RM485) together with a complimentary extra bed from the kind courtesy of the assistance general manager, Mr Yue. 

Was so eager to take a look at our Junior Suite (room 1116) after we check in.
