Singapore: Snakey Chinatown 新加坡:唐人街新春蛇年

Ushering in the Year of the Snake 2013, there's no better place than to slither on down to Singapore's Chinatown for a snakey sneaks and snaps!

Welcoming visitors to Chinatown is a 108 metre long Snake sculpture, made up of 5,000 red square lanterns, while 88 smaller cube lanterns with animals signs of the Chinese zodiacs lined the main streets - Eu Tong Sen street and New Bridge Road.

Over at South Bridge Road, a joyous bright yellow snake hovers gaily in the sky!

Snaking 300 meters long and made up of 850 sky lanterns.

While people forming a long snake queue for the most popular Bak Kwa.

And even a longer snake queue for hot steamy buns!!

NOTE:
Queuing is a social norm in Singapore. It is impolite to jump queue or move ahead of the person in front of you.
